EASTER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER, AND WE'VE GOT SOME FUN & EASY IDEAS TO GET CRAFTY WITH YOUR LITTLE ONES ALONGSIDE A VISIT FROM A VERY SPECIAL BUNNY.
1. MAKE SOME CRUNCHY CHOCOLATE BARK
Get your little chefs in the kitchen (and use up some of that excess chocolate) to create chocolate bark. Perfect for the Easter table as a nest for berries or fruit, or wrap it up as a gift for friends and family.
Here's how:
- Melt a cup of chocolate in a heatproof bowl until smooth.
- Mix in a generous cup of nuts like almonds, walnuts or hazelnuts along with half a cup of chopped dried fruits such as raisins, apricots or cherries.
- Spread the chocolate mixture onto a lined baking sheet, creating an even layer. For an extra pop, you could top with some sprinkles or mini marshmallows.
- Set in the fridge for at least 1 hour, then break the bark into pieces and ENJOY!
2. EGG-CELLENT EGG ROLLING COMPETITION
Take on the classic tradition of egg rolling with an exciting competition! Paint patterns on your eggshells (check out the egg blowing technique here) and gather in the garden, at the beach or in the park to set up your egg rolling course (hot tip - sand dunes are a great option).
Roll the eggs by hand and challenge each other to see whose egg can travel the farthest. Make it a friendly competition or a test of skill, this little Easter tradition promises plenty of laughter and special moments for little ones to remember.
3. MAKE YOUR OWN BUNNY STAMPS
Get out the paints and let their creativity flow with adorable Bunny Stamps - they're perfect for decorating Easter cards for friends and family.
Here's how:
- Start by cutting the two toilet paper rolls in half to create the stamp shape. Bend two of the rolls to create 'bunny ear' shapes, leaving one circular for the bunny's face, and secure them together using glue.
- Dip the end of the roll in paint and press it onto paper to create cute bunny shapes.
- Add details like eyes, nose, and whiskers using paint or pens to bring your bunny stamps to life. Voila!
